Flowergirl spending that money!!!!

I went on this trip on a budget, I don't think Flowergirl or Francesca know the meaning of the word!!!

But, I think it is as much fun to see people you love buy great things, as it is, yourself.

I finally found a pair of black leather gloves for my price $23.95.

I was like, gathering up Flowergirl's discarded Marshall Fields gift boxes out of our room to bring home to my sis who lived there 35 years ago.

I sold her on their value since it will be the last Christmas season for Field's as it becomes Macy's.

When I was 18 and attended Patricia Steven's Modeling school in Chicago, we used to get to go to Fields and do this modeling thing on Saturdays.

We would have show's sometimes...

.... but the most fun thing was to get to go to the racks and just pick out whatever you wanted to wear.

We would then, just walk around the store advertising and chatting with people directing them to the department where they could buy your outfit!!!It was so much fun!!

Made us feel like a Million Dollars, anyway!!!!

I tell this story about the Modeling School, because I never graduated!!!This was Twiggy's day and as Ada says "most of the time the camera is not my friend". But the closer we got to making our portfolio of pictures, the heavier I became, overwhelmed by the reality that I was not really runway modeling material, either!!!

So, I never made the pictures which I had already paid for with the tuition!!!

Point of the Story:

When I returned to Chicago, with the Senior Bachelor Event, I had borrowed outfits from all my friends and sisters and when I hit the Chicago City Limits I felt, for the first time in my life like a Model. So empowered by what we had been experiencing thru this Blog and the anticipation of what we were about to experience.

I was asking people on the street, "Does the Patricia Stevens Modeling School still exist??"

I was ready to make that portfolio, now, at 55 years old!!!

Now, I hear from Francesca and Anita that ole Patricia Stevens Modeling School was just a Charm School in reality.

Can you imagine????Thinking they were going to teach us Southern SugarBritches anything about Charm!!!!

HOW VERY NICE!!!!!

Flowergirl or I one, will have to re-tell the Joke about the Southern girl going to Charm school, she tells it a little different,

but my version always said the above, instead of "you're full of Crap", the Southern girl learn at Charm School, to say: "Oh, that's so very Nice!!!
