It's a mess here tonight with lots of snow coming in right at the rush hour. Nightmare with getting anywhere.

Brrrrrr - it is SO COLD outside! Wind chill is below zero!
Heck, Lynn, I wish it were 30 because that would be a heat wave for us. I have been laying low but had to go out for a closing today and I was so chilled afterward.
The older I get the more I want to get out of the Midwest and run from the winter. My plan was to meet this incredible guy and he, naturally, would have a home somewhere warm to go to in the winter. He would also take me to all the exotic places and wine and dine me and ........etc, etc. So, you can see why I am still single. There is no such animal.
I am counting down the days for the Great Escape so please join us in Playa Del Carmen, Mexico with Brenda, Jackie, Marty, Connie, Pam, Carol and me. Others are joining in but flights are more difficult to get as the time gets closer.
Cathy, that is a darling photo of you on the blog. It's a keeper.

Hi Leslie, thanks for checking up on Lynn and I. This winter has been brutal and it is just beginning for us here in the Midwest. I used to love it to ice skate, etc. but now it is simply dangerous because of all the ice.

I'm SO jealous of you guys! Chicago in Dec, California in Jan, Mexico in Feb. - AND I HAVE TO WORK!!!! Man O Man I can hardly wait to retire. Hmmmm....will I be able to eat then, let along travel? Maybe I can make it to Santa Cruz in March. Here's hoping. In the meantime, you all have a great time and think of me teaching a bullying unit to 26 rowdy grade 4 kids.

I am just seeing the updated photos today and had to stop in for a moment to say Season's Greetings to all of you. Your photos were festive and cheerful to view. White snow, christmas trees, warm fires and festive friends.
Francesca, Rachel, Cathy, Anita and everyone else who was in on the Chicago reunion, you captured the true spirit of friendship and conviviality during this Christmas Season and I am proud of you for taking this time to meet and reacquaint yourselves with each other.
It is an inspiration for the rest of us to do the same and take the time to spend with friends and family at this great time of the year.
